LOVED IT!!!...and I would say this is as good as 'Captain America the winter soldier' as it's in the similar tone to that movie and Black Widow brought out most of my emotions in this movie which is Excitement, laughter, and sadness. Let me just say that I'm a huge fan of the character 'Natasha Romanoff' including Scarlett Johansson herself along as her playing Natasha in the MCU movies too which she is so brilliant at...and no other actress would do it better than her. 'David Harbour' as 'Alexei' is awesome and he is like Captain America but does things completely opposite to 'Chris Evans' version...David's version just makes me laugh in this movie and I just love that they made his character have a sense of humor and him doing funny stuff but also action too. 'Florence Pugh' is awesome and I love the badass stuff she does and she gets to do awesome stuff that Scarlett's character does. This is kind of hard for me to say but let me first just say that as I'm a big fan of Natasha's character and know so much about her in the comics I really don't think Natasha is done yet in the MCU...I mean yea she did die in endgame but the hope of the character's return lies within the comic books which makes anything possible...also Scarlett spent 10 years developing this character and ever since Iron Man 2 her fans have been asking for a black widow movie and it just make me think why didn't we ever get a black widow movie sooner when we have been asking for it?...that way we would of had a chance of more of her own movies in the past throughout all those years and if we had those movies in the past this new prequel black widow movie would had counted as 'Black widow 3' or 4 just before her death...I really would had preferred it if the timeline of this new black widow movie was set much more further in the past which would of had led Natasha to get more Standalone movies in future which of course would be a black widow prequel franchise...and throughout just 5 years Iron man got 3 standalone movies including Captain America...and Thor is getting his fourth movie by next year and this year Spider-Man is getting a third movie, what I'm trying to say is that we need more strong women like Natasha to have their own standalone movies but it's a shame we did not get it sooner. I think it would be a fair play if they did a black widow prequel show on Disney plus with Scarlett and that would be something new for her as she's always on the big screen and it doesn't have to be soon for her to do this at all because I just know Scarlett will look great when she reach her 40's...I mean look at 'Rachel Weisz' in this movie because she was 50 in this that you would not think at all. But yea it just seems we see so much more of Natasha's character doing her own thing in the comics more than the MCU movies because in the MCU movies she was mostly just a side character. So yea the movie is great with amazing action scenes and the CGI is beautiful in this movie but mostly I do love that they added in some practical stuff in this which is good because that's what would make the movie age a bit better...and this is something I would watch over and over again as this is something that I have been waiting for 10 years LOL. ASSEMBLE YOURSELVES AND WATCH THIS MOVIE!! :)

The atmosphere in the cinema was great, everyone was ready to see some marvel action on the big screen after a 2 year absence. The film does drag a bit in the beginning I felt, but one scene eventually kicks off and the film shifts to drive. Finally we get some back story to Natasha, the story was obviously the core and mostly it was a throughly entertainment and in depth story about her family and past. Action as usual was great, and the use of sound in the Dolby atmos theatre was superb. Comedic moments were great in the film, audience had great reactions. The music was great as well. One particular choice of song stood out for me. (Watch and you'll find out I hope) I liked how you are able to connect to the characters more since it's a more grounded film. It's essentially a spy espionage film in a very well known universe. Only other issue I had with the film was the villain, wasn't very convincing and I would say opposed to being frightened for Natasha because of the villain. Great return for the big screen!

I am starting to believe that people just rate movies badly or purposefully give them low scores because they have nothing better to do. When a production studio spends so much money and time in delivering a film as entertaining as Black Widow is, and people pay a mere ~$14 to see, then complain about it not being any good, you know they're straight up in dire need of a new hobby. The thing is, that it isn't really just individuals doing this. Recently there was some minor celebrity who was quoted as saying he felt bad for ScarJo and that she could have picked a better film to be in. Now this from a guy who next year will probably be auditioning for Subway commercials. Are these types of stories meant to stir up controversy, ergo 'talk', and as such, free advertising in the form of posts across social media? Either way, what a disservice for those who simply enjoy good movies. Was Black Widow a "10"? No. Is it a Shawshank Redemption or Godfather? Of course not. But when you take the drivel that's out there earning 6's and 7s, to relegate Black Widow to earning anything less than a SOLID 7.5/8, is pretty sad. They story was extremely well-acted by everyone involved. Not one actor was out-of-step. More so, it was amazingly well-crafted in that it offered us a FULL back-story on Natasha Romanoff and answered as many questions as possible without over-cramming or becoming bogged down with surplus material. Beyond that, like all of Disney/Marvel offerings, it was funny. The humor ranges from simple to tongue-in-cheek to more complex, and is scattered throughout the film a'la Joss Whedon style. It is a feel-good movie full of action, heartfelt family moments, and the underlying sadness of knowing it is a prologue to the eventual end of the Black Widow's tale.

Black widow is an action sci fi movie released by the Marvel studious based on the before life of Black widow before she joined the Avengers. The movie starts when she was younger and taken by the people who after changed her life and made her assassin. Her sister was also made an assassin whom she met after years one day. My movie has a good plot but still it wasn't as interesting as i have expected to be. The movie is released into theatres and earning a good box office collection. If you are a marvel fan then it would simply entertain you in the best way. I would give the movie 4 out of 5.

Definitely loved it! My only critique would be that I feel they were a little heavy handed with action sequences, sometimes to the detriment of the very good scenes of interaction between the actors. Everybody has such great chemistry and finally getting a fleshed out story of Natasha Romanoff's history was fascinating, and I wish they spent a little more time concentrating on that instead of in gratuitous explosions, hot women doing gymnastics and CGI. Oh well, sort of the expected formula for superhero movies now! Very unexpectedly fell in love with Florence Pugh, never thought anybody could replace Scarlett Johansson in my mind as I adore her and Black Widow is my favorite character. So I went into it slightly biased, not expecting to enjoy her character but instead found myself falling in love with her dry humor, heart and tough as nails attitude. Definitely worth a watch, and I'm glad Black Widow finally got her own film even if it was way too late

I'm already warming more and more in reflection to this film. It surprised me in a number of ways and this is where it gets interesting: Marvel just supplanted the 007/Bond Franchise. I was so often impressed with the wry humour that Bond tries to slip in, Harbour nails his lines and timing, treading the incredible fine line he can between heartfelt sincerity and light relief. The incredible female leads astound here, gobbling up some of the fiercest, and best-believable martial arts sequences MCU has delivered inbetween incredible stunt shots in feature aerial battles. The grit feels as real as it can, the whole package is smoother than some recent competitors within the Feige-led franchise itself even: from costumes and sets to audio, to slo-mo, and colour scheme. In fact I was worried this was going to be red everywhere - Red Room, Red Guardian, etc etc but the red doesn't drown the movie. The surprises are handled well in the story. Without spoiling it, I know many of the enemies in this film have better to show than they were given opportunity. And again without spoiling the film too much, this is because of the brilliant getting-the-gang-together exposition that we go through. I didn't expect to be as excited about seeing so many different characters' next steps beyond the final (final-final) roll of the credits. My sense here is that rather than a swansong single feature, it has me wanting this to be the start of its own trilogy and everyone that worked on it has ensured that this movie stands as tall as it possibly could. (I may update this if I get to a full film series rewatch and slot it in chronologically - to comment on how it gels as part of the Saga.) The only clumsy scene I felt was just before the credits start as final bits of dialogue were ongoing and it felt odd.

Black Widow is an adequate return to the movies for Marvel. It’s perhaps one of the more serious and dialogue-heavy entries of the Marvel Cinematic Universe but Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh, David Harbour and Rachel Weisz bear a convincing enough dynamic and carry a straightforward spy narrative with decent emotional depth. Per the Marvel norm, the action delivers plentiful fast-paced thrills and the film isn’t short of comedic relief, often poking fun at old Marvel character tropes and allowing David Harbor to get absolutely lost in his role; he’s rather delightful and I hope to see more of him in later media. The villains are pretty forgettable, though, and I felt the relationship between the four main characters was a tad lacking. The first 15 minutes set an interesting and almost artful standard that hooked me immediately but it pretty much goes the formulaic comic book movie route after that point and it’s…good; I got to fully understand Natasha and receive some closure on her story, though I can’t help but note the missed opportunities. I think more flashbacks like the prologue would’ve helped cement an even stronger chemistry amongst the leads. We mostly just get a general idea of how they’re associated and then it’s your typical Marvel fare but it’s the performances overall that kept me invested. Black Widow may be far from top tier MCU but it’s a solid showcase that great acting can exist in superhero media, which is a notion that has long been doubted and dismissed.

First of all are you a marvel fan/ or do you know the marvel universe and their movies..?..... YEA? THEN GO AHEAD So, the movie, i would say it didn't reach the expectations ( atleast mine). The movie has moderate action sequences ( when compared to the black widow fight scenes in other marvel movies than this). The acting of the artists is top notch although the story is not well written. The story, for me, is a blend of Kingsman and the Fast franchise ( it would have been great if the vin Diesel has been castes into this XD). Overall it an one time watch movie.
